Great place to go and get outside. It's very northwest. Lots of plants. And very peaceful place. You can take your pets and just walk around in nature. I really like this place. It's good to just go look at the natural earth, and to just relax. Also has lots of information on signs. It's very interesting. I feel like its going hiking without the hike. Great place.

What a beautiful little oasis just off the highway! Wooden boardwalk pathways through a botanical garden. Very quiet and serene. I definitely want to come back in the Spring to see all the beautiful blooms.

This is a hidden gem of our area. Named after anti-Nazi pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the creators of this garden have managed to combine native plant conservation, ecological education, butterfly habitat, local glass art, and holocaust history into a single modern fully ADA accessible park. Be sure to come with a smartphone. Informational kiosks are set around the park with QR codes that you can scan to learn more about the plants, butterflies, and history featured at each place. Older signs link straight to the Burke Museum botany page, but they are being replaced with newer models that have updated links and other sites, like Wikipedia. There are also a few picnic tables and benches where you can sit to contemplate. I came for the botany but enjoyed the glass art and holocaust history more than I expected. This is not the park to visit if you are offended by expressions of religious faith or if you have unruly children. It is also unfortunately close to I-5 and you can hear traffic; the people running the garden are also struggling with weeds. I hope they plant some trees west of the park to block some of the noise. However, it is still a lovely park and I plan to return soon with my mobility-limited family members for another visit.

They have done a fantastic job growing this place. The grounds are well kept and plant selection seems to be ever growing. Also has some great history and also art throughout the garden. Worth the stop.

Beautiful, amazing, informative, and way more . . . and it's free! In spite of the adjacent freeway, it's peaceful.
