When we first booked I saw the reviews after and they honestly terrified me…. Luckily, once we finally got there it was a very pleasant surprise! It’s quiet, serene and the views are beautiful. My husband and I actually liked feeling completely alone so the lack of seeing staff wasn’t an issue. Yes, it’s old and dated in some spots but that adds to the charm. If you’re not into that I’d suggest going elsewhere. We thought it was wonderful and will definitely be returning. Our room was a larger top floor unit and had a working jetted bathtub. We had a sliding glass door to the main deck so It was nice to watch the sunset then easily walk back to our room. If you want to escape, not be bothered and just enjoy yourself chaos free. This is the place.
This is a scam. We booked for a 2-night getaway and when we arrived, nobody was there to open the door. When we called, I was asked if the inn-keeper had called me. They hadn't. The person on the phone gave me the lobby code. Our info was on the front desk. The lights were off. The Inn was deserted. We went to our room and it was completely open. No lock. No code. It felt strange and eerie. Upon entering, the room looked tired. The curtain rod was broken. The mattress was an old spring one. Carpet was unappetizing. The bathroom was clean but small. The hottub is like an insulated, inflatable one and was set to 105, so we couldn't actually enjoy it. After an hour, we left and didn't come back. Here's the thing: if this inn were priced at $180 it would be a decent stay. However, it is priced as mid-luxury and it is not anywhere close to that. I'm giving it 2 stars because the lobby was nicely renovated and they gave information about the island. Finally, at the time we decided to leave I followed their protocol and sent a cancellation email with the feedback above. Nothing angry or unreasonable and asked for a partial refund. No response. It's been more than a week sent I've sent it, so a negative review it has to be for this place. I care more about the lack of service than I do the refund. I can't stress enough how little service this place gives for the price. Best of luck to the owners. I hope they can sort these things out.
I had to go out to Camano last minute in June due to my mother's death, I was called before I even arrived and explained how to get into the building and the steps on how to get into my room, I could have stayed in my mother's home but I needed a neutral space to clear my head. I had a issue with the hot water at first messaged the number they had left and before i knew it someone was knocking on my door. Breakfast was always out when I woke up before heading to my mother's house and was perfect for grabbing and running as I had limited time. The grounds are gorgeous and were the perfect get away since it was all overwhelming and I was so far from home alone. My husband and I are now talking about booking a hot tub room for when I take him to Camano, and I am very excited to return. The 2 women I spoke with while there were very warm and made me feel right at home. This Inn will always have a special place in my heart and I can't wait to return
Overall it looks nice but on closer look it hadn’t been maintained Floors, carpet are dirty The welcome sheet said a buffet breakfast at 8:30. Apparently they only have continental. The first morning it was okay. The next day there was hardly any food Staff is non-existent but there are gratuity signs around for ?? service. It is too bad it has been allowed to go down hill
Paid extra for room with a hot tub which was broken when we got there so no hot tub. View was obstructed by untrimmed hedges. Carpet was dirty. Advertised breakfast but barely had continental items. Bugs were on the ceiling. Tried to contact staff multiple times but they ignore you. No one ever called back.
