The most beautiful small town park I've been to in a very long time. There was a horrendous amount of wind damage done. Some stands of trees are completely uprooted and laying on the ground. Little trees are being planted, so please don't run them down or rip them up. They are there to keep the soil from eroding away. The city is still working on certain parts of the park. Please do not throw your candy wrappers on the ground. I have pictures of gum and wrappers🍬🍫 for you to see. They were way back and on the "Frisbee path." Some people are just lazy? Or they don't care. I am asking you to care.❤ It is a short walk from the parking lot to the playground and one restroom is available. There is a baseball ⚾️ or softball field there, with a 4-5' high fence around it. Also, some mini frisbee throwing game. I saw some people playing it. Be careful you don't come between them and the target, they were throwing them very swiftly, they could put your eye out. I was there around 3:30 pm and it was peaceful. I am sure the park gets extremely busy when it warms up. The parking lot is not that big. One lady was just reading on her phone when I showed up and still there when I left. At the entrance is a sign about park hours and how long you can park there. Three hours, I believe, is your maximum. The trip down the path to the creek is quite steep. But if I can make it, you can make it. Muddy in some parts, like on the decent to the creek. Church Creek Park is on my list to go to again! To hear the little (right now it is) creek doing a trip 💧and stumble down the path it's made for itself, is just so soothing. Be kind to eachother. Be careful making a left out of the park. 😊 Drive safely, 🚗 let people in when you know they have to move over 🚙 into your lane. Better to drive safely and get to your destination than not at all. Enjoy life.
Wonderful place to take little ones, I met my little guy run around the baseball field freely as the gates shut also around the park itself. It's an extremely large park and very kept up!
Small play area with older structure. One large slide and one small slide, a few big swings. No little swings for infants/toddlers. Aging covered picnic area. Public restrooms. Basketball court, baseball field and disc golf course.
Well kept, nice playground, good parking, garbage bins and recycling bins, restroom facility, park benches and tables and a nice undercover spot all in the main area! There's also a large beautiful wooded area with a creek with little fishes and wood swing! Shame that there was some littering there though(wrappers, cans, bottles and even a tire). Throughout the first portion of the wooded area are also frisbee golfing nets! Overall a great spot for all! Maybe put a garbage/recycling bin near the creek to help prevent lazy people littering.
