I was told the barber shop was closed when I walked through the door at 12:16 PM. “I have like six people in front of you.” Dion is open until 3 PM is Saturdays (the day I’m writing this, shortly after visiting). I would have understood being told he was closed if I’d entered the shop at 2:45 or something, but being asked to leave at midday was absurd. I ended up going to a nearby chain hair cutting place, which is a real shame— I made a deliberate effort to support a local business and drove out of my way from Arlington to get my hair cut here. Dion was not being mean when he asked me to leave, but I nonetheless interpreted the interaction as incredibly rude. Something interesting that I was not expecting is the fact that Dion’s Barber Shop is located in a shopping center called Viking Village, which is interesting. The building itself doesn’t look super well kept, but it’s not dilapidated or anything. The roof up the building curls upwards like the front of a Viking ship.
Dion was my place of choice, he had great prices and knew his craft but after too many times finding the place closed during normal hours I started to find other barbers
Friendly staff, quick work, and great prices. I feel like a million bucks. Will be back for sure!
New to the area and was lucky to find Dion’s Barber Shop. Dion is a family man who has a special talent cutting hair. Just got a new haircut today and my wife said this was the best haircut I’ve ever had!
This might be a good barbershop but I will probably never know. I called to find out if I could make an appointment or if it was first come first served. Received a recording saying the shop would open at 1:30 pm. Took the chance and drove 20 minutes to get there, arriving just after 1:30. The shop was already full and when I asked how long the wait would be I was told about 2 1/2 hours. Wasn't going to waste my afternoon and so I left.
