My son (18) filed his taxes in February and has been waiting since he paid the $80 fee to get his return check in the mail. I called over the weekend and recieved a call today informing me that they want another $80 for processing (his $500 return) because they cannot find the paper work. Now i watched my son pay & sign paper work, i recieved a phone call the next day confirming he wanted a mailed check vrs direct deposit, they not only confirmed his payment, they also told me it would arrive in 4-6wks. Now its been almost 3months and they want more money before they file them. He should not have to pay $160.00 because their front desk lady made a mistake. Now he is out $80 & hasn't recieved his taxes. I recommend avoiding this H&R block !!!
I had complete confidence in the tax preparer's (Stephanie) filing experience and knowledge of current tax laws. We had a couple uncommon situations and Stephanie researched and confirmed how they should be handled. She thoroughly explored tax credits we might be eligible for and was resourceful to find bank routing and property tax information online thus saving us additional steps. She provided a detailed overview of the return and refund calculation and counseled on comparing to last year's return. Stephanie had our best interest in mind while paying attention to thoroughness and accuracy. Stephanie was efficient. The pricing was fair and reasonable. Stephanie used the H&R coupons to our advantage affording us the best value for completing multiple family returns. I was expecting a possible delay in having our return prepared due to the date but I'm so pleased that I stopped in, made an appointment for the next day and our filing is complete!! Our tax specialist Heather Griffin, was so knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. She made us feel at ease and confident in her abilities. One of the best tax specialist, I've ever had in my lifetime and I'm a senior - so that's saying something.
