Save yourself now & go elsewhere! Terry has continuously lost paper work, misfiled our personal and business taxes, not responded to phone calls/emails. We are now dealing with issues from our 2020 taxes because SHE NEVER SUBMITTED THE W2’s to the IRS! I will be reporting the business to the IRS. This is unacceptable.
*** Response directly to Terri:
While there are two sides to every story, the facts are the facts & you did not submit my W2 information to the IRS for 2020. I’ve been waiting for my return for ONE YEAR and come to find out you mishandled our taxes by not submitting crucial documents. Clients should be able to trust the CPA handling their taxes. Your malpractice will be reported.

Set appointment on 9/20 for 9/23 appt, received call from Michelle 9/22 to reschedule for following Thursday. After expressing concern about meeting 10/15 deadline for filing taxes (having filed for an extension), she fit me in for Monday, 9/27/2021.
I met with Terri and reviewed our complicated (to me) taxes, dropped off our files, and she said she would work on our taxes, then after, help with another tax situation.
After emailing Terri twice and not getting a response, I called in but Terri was with a client so I left a message for her to please return my call. Crickets.
Again I emailed Terri.
Again, crickets.
On Wed. 10/13 I called Michelle yet again and asked when I could expect to pick up my taxes. She said Terri was very busy and working on them and they'd call.
On the day the taxes were due, Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, I called at 1:01 p.m. and spoke yet again to Michelle. She said they would call and it would be before 4:00 pm.
Crickets.
On Monday, October 18, 2021 at 11:52 am I called and the phone went to voicemail. I hung up, blocked my outgoing number, and called back. Michelle picked up the phone. Natural conclusion: screening, AKA ghosting.
I went in later that afternoon and took my files off the conference table along with the printout of my extension filing (meaning my email was opened and read) and walked out. Judy was there and said that Terri wasn't in "today".
I gave Ms. Vedders the entire week to get in touch with me. She has not.
If you are a longtime client of Ms. Vedders, you probably are in good hands. If you are new to the island, have out-of-state or complicated taxes, you might want to consider firms in Mt. Vernon, Arlington, or Everett. I definitely do not recommend Ms. Vedders.

We have a small business on the island and Terri Has been so supportive and helpful. She has taken away a lot of the "fear of taxes" with owning a small company. Thank you so much for all the support and great service.

Terri Vedders is dedicated to her clients and giving them expert advice and assistance for tax filings, book keeping and accounting. She offers a specially priced package for low income families to ensure they get to use all the tax credits they deserve. I've helped several non-profits choose to work with Terri Vedders CPA.
